Bearing ring heater - UNI

The duralumin tool designed for heating the inner ring of a bearing when installing a shaft is a practical and invaluable tool for every workshop.

This product is suitable for bearing inner diameters:

• D10 (e.g. bearing 6000)
• D12 (e.g. bearing 6201)
• D15 (e.g. bearing 6202).

The diameters of the mandrels are adapted so that they can be easily inserted and removed during thermal expansion: 9.5 mm, 11.5 mm and 14.5 mm .

It is very easy to use – just place the device on an electric hotplate for about 3 minutes (depending on its power). Then you grab it (with gloves or pliers) and insert it into the bearing ring. Thanks to the material used – duralumin – the temperature is transferred very quickly, so you can immediately and easily insert the shaft into the bearing.

Compared to heating the entire bearing in the block, this procedure is more practical - there are no complications with grease residues in the bearing or with the engine block, on which it would be impossible to apply sealant due to the high temperature (the sealant would dry immediately and not connect properly with the other side).
