Book Babetta M210 - M225 and Korádo

An updated and expanded publication prepared after seven years by designer Zden Metzker offers a unique insight into the rich history of BABETTA mopeds with automatic two-speed transmission and KORADO mopeds. The book maps in detail the path to the development of the original automatic system, in which the renowned German company SACHS also showed interest, and brings information directly from the designer of the prototype engines about implemented and unrealized projects.

The reader will learn in detail about the first functional prototype of Babetta, the subsequent Jawamatic mokik on small wheels and the whole range of successful export types. The publication contains technical descriptions of the functions and construction of engines, electrical installations and operational tests, which are not available in other sources. The text reveals the history of the Lambada prototype, the development of the variator version of the Korado moped, cooperation with the Italian company Piaggio and details about external plastic tanks and oil pump assemblies. For collectors and restorers, accurate records of manufactured pieces, a list of export partners and coding of production labels to determine the year of production are essential.
