The key is used to adjust the gearshift on Simson engines. You can find this under the carburetor.
After unscrewing the M8 nut and removing the washer, you will see a gear shift nut in the hole, which has two grooves in it. Insert a wrench into these grooves and change the gear shift setting by turning it slightly to the right or left. This adjustment is done after the engine is assembled and also when fine-tuning the correct gear shifting at speeds 1 and 4 (and 5 for 5-speed gearboxes). To test the correct setting, it is always necessary to put the nut with the washer back on and tighten it.
Surface treatment zinc.
