Pionýr contactless ignition

Contactless ignition is intended for Pionýr motorcycles, types 550, 555, 05, 20, 21, and 23. This ignition brings a significant improvement in the operation and reliability of the engine, which is especially appreciated by racing machines. Installation is simple, without the need for any modifications to the engine – everything fits just like the original ignition.

The light output is 20W, which is enough for the front bulb 6V 15/15W and the rear bulb 6V 5W. However, with light bulbs, you need to pay attention to the manufacturer, because cheaper types may have a filament with a different consumption (W), which leads to a lower luminance.

Light circuit connection: The two yellow cables are for the front and rear lights. They can be combined into one and connected to the cable going to the switch box, but we recommend a direct connection: one cable to the front light switch and the other to the rear light.

Connecting the voltage stabilizer: The voltage stabilizer included in the kit has a simple connection:

1. Mounting the Stabilizer: The Stabilizer has a metal base with a D6 diameter hole that must be grounded. Ideally, attach the stabilizer to the motorcycle frame.

2. Stabilizer connection: Connect the free end of the stabilizer to the lighting circuit using a clamp. Insert the yellow wire from the ignition into the through hole of the clamp, and connect the yellow wire from the stabilizer to the non-through hole. It doesn't matter which yellow wire you use.

Attention: If the lights are off for a long time and all the current goes to the stabilizer, it can be damaged.

Recommendation: Connect the lights directly. The lights do not affect the strength of the spark and must always be lit. Connect one yellow wire to the taillight, and the other to the wire leading to the switch box. However, do not connect the cable on the switch box, but connect it to the cable leading to the handlebars to the light switch.
